HABBOWOOD STUDIOS POLICY:

1. What HWS Is

Habbowood Studios (HWS) is an independent, volunteer‑run creative platform operating within the Habbo environment.

It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Sulake or Habbo Hotel.

HWS adheres to Habbo’s Terms of Service and User‑Created Games Policy, and all activities operate within these rules.

HWS exists to support and showcase builders, designers, hosts, and creators who contribute meaningful work to the community. The platform prioritises creativity, collaboration, and effort over passive engagement or chance‑based systems.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all HWS spaces and activities, including in‑game environments, the HWS website, and all official platforms and channels operated by HWS.

Participation in any HWS space means these standards apply.

3. Platform Model

HWS operates as a curated platform.

Participation, promotion, and representation are managed to maintain quality, safety, and creative direction.

Not all content or contributors will be accepted or featured.

Access, visibility, and involvement are managed to maintain platform integrity and consistent standards.

Contributors whose work aligns with HWS standards can expect consistent and fair consideration for visibility and involvement.

4. Conduct

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, hate speech, and harmful behaviour are not permitted.

Casual interaction may include light swearing. Targeted, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour is not accepted.

HWS may restrict access or remove participants where behaviour impacts the platform or its contributors.

5. Participation

Participants are not customers. Access to events, projects, and spaces is conditional.

HWS activities are designed to reward contribution, collaboration, and meaningful engagement.

Passive, disruptive, or harmful participation may result in removal.

6. Projects and Contributors

Creators retain ownership of their work.

HWS does not claim ownership of community‑created content. However, it may approve, feature, decline, or remove projects and contributors from its platform.

Work accepted into HWS will be credited and treated with respect. HWS will not misrepresent or falsely attribute creator work.

Roles, access, and visibility are based on alignment with HWS standards and may change where necessary to maintain platform integrity.

7. Media and Coverage

HWS produces media including showcases, documentation, and storytelling across its platforms.

Participation in HWS projects may include being featured, credited, or documented in this media.

HWS aims to highlight the creators behind projects, not just the outcome.

Creators may reference their involvement with HWS.

Use of official branding or representation requires approval.

8. Platform Standards

To protect the platform and its contributors, the following are not permitted:

• Gambling: as defined by the Habbo User Created Games Policy by habbo.com.

• Exploitative engagement systems or low‑effort incentive loops

• Malicious or misleading promotion

• Commercial activity that conflicts with the HWS model

• Explicit, harmful, or unsafe content

These standards exist to support a healthier creative environment and remain consistent with Habbo’s Terms of Service.

9. Partnerships

Communities or groups associated with HWS are expected to meet the same standards.

HWS may end partnerships or remove affiliations where standards are not met.

10. Data and Privacy

HWS collects limited information required for communication, submissions, and event management.

This may include usernames, email addresses, and submitted content.

Data is stored using third‑party services required for site operation and is accessible only to authorised administrators.

HWS does not sell or trade personal data.

Users may request access to or removal of their submitted information.

11. Cookies and External Services

HWS may use basic analytics and embedded content from third‑party platforms.

These services may collect data under their own policies.

By using HWS platforms, you accept this use.

12. Use of the Platform

All content remains the property of its creator, or HWS where explicitly stated.

Content may not be copied, redistributed, or misrepresented without permission.

Access to HWS may be restricted where necessary to maintain standards across all HWS spaces and media.

The platform is provided as‑is. HWS is not responsible for issues arising from use of its services or external platforms.

13. Submissions

By submitting content to HWS, you grant a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, worldwide license for it to be used, displayed, edited, and promoted by HWS.

This includes builds, artwork, screenshots, videos, and written material.

You retain ownership of your work.

HWS will not claim authorship or use submitted work in a misleading way.

14. Age Requirement

Participants must be 16 years or older to submit information or take part in HWS‑managed processes.
